NTZ – Offline Filtration

Antech Hydraulics Limited are the sole UK importer for the complete range of radial micro filtration units from NTZ.

Used in addition to inline filters, they offer an extremely high level of filtration with an element rating of 2 micron absolute. NTZ units can be fed from the main system pressure, or from a built in motor/pump set, which means that the pressures and specifications remain in conformance with the values specified by the manufacturers.

Radial micro filtration can be found on excavators, road sweepers, cranes, winches, tele-handlers, fork trucks, concrete pumping vehicles, marine vessels, aviation ground support vehicles, plastic injection moulding machines, agricultural machinery, scrap metal shears and balers… the list is endless. In fact, these units can be applied to every imaginable industrial application where hydraulic and/or lubrication systems are present. There are also versions available that filter motor oil and fuels.

Why are these units so popular? Well, the fact is that 80% of mechanical failures are caused by system contamination. By reducing the level of contaminants in oil, the longevity of the fluid and the system components is vastly increased. The advantage of NTZ Radial Micro Filters is that filtering takes place at a constant flow and pressure, making the efficiency of the NTZ unit up to ten times better than that of a standard inline filter. Component wear is significantly reduced, thus protecting vital components such as valves, pumps and motors. Of course, all of this saves you downtime and most importantly, money!

Antech’s commitment to saving you money doesn’t just stop at supplying you with the unit. We monitor the condition of your system to ensure that you are receiving the maximum benefit from your investment, and ensure that it’s always operating at 100% efficiency.

It’s easy to get started and see the benefits for yourself. There are 3 key stages:

1. IDENTIFY – We take an oil sample from your machine that indicates the amount of contamination present. We then undertake a thorough survey of your system, looking at the main system components that need protecting, so that we can agree a target cleanliness level and recommend the correct size filtration unit. For instance, vane and piston pumps require an ISO cleanliness code of 19/17/14; proportional valves require 17/15/12. We also make recommendations to minimise contamination ingress.

2. SUPPLY – We either supply the unit on a self-installation basis (with instructions included), or fitted by one of our experienced hydraulic engineers (at additional cost). Training for you and/or your staff will be provided if we are fitting the unit e.g. how and when to replace the elements. After two weeks we will resample the oil to quantify what results are being achieved and provide a report to you.

3. SUPPORT – We continue to monitor the condition of your oil as required (usually quarterly), providing reports and recommendations as necessary. Antech will supply you with replacement elements when we are informed by you that they are blocked, or on a 6 monthly basis – whichever occurs sooner.

With NTZ Radial Micro Filters, prolonging oil and component life is guaranteed. With this level of success, isn’t it time you invested in the best?
